I understand the reasoning behind the Big XII's decision

However, it would be a moot point in the Big Ten since OU and Okie State would either be in the same division or an OOC. For OU fans, I wonder if it makes a difference whether they are older or younger. If they are older, then they will remember the NU-OU rivalry from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. However, if they are younger, then they may either not know about it or remember the rivalry. I would think the same would be true for NU fans.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't be surprised by that choice. For the older fans I would think most are doing it hoping to rekindle that magic. If the magic is never rekindled because NU never gets that good again, then it would be interesting to see if their opinions changed on the matter. For the younger fans it would interesting to see why they picked NU especially if they don't know or remember the NU-OU rivalry.
